 2. What info does Tommee Tippee collect?

Information You Give Us

Call us Captain Obvious if you’d like, but we collect the information you give to us! If you use the Site or Facebook page to contact us, “like” us, take a survey, enter sweepstakes, or post feedback, comments, photos, videos, or other messages (and we sure hope you do), we’ll have whatever info you put out into the Tommee Tippee universe. We’ve had fabulous customers like you for a good long while and the personal info you all tend to share with us includes this stuff:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Shipping address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Age of your child
  • Location/geo-location information
  • Potentially sensitive information about the stage of your pregnancy and the health and medical conditions of you or your children

Tech Info About How You Use the Site

Just like our kids we love tech toys too and have included some favorite bells and whistles on our Site to let us learn about how our visitors (that’s you) interact with us.

Google Analytics

One of our tech team’s favorite toys is Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which unfortunately are just text files with a string of characters that are placed on your computer – not the good kind of cookies with chocolate chips. Even though you can’t eat these types of cookies, they do help us learn about how visitors like you use the Site. If you want to learn more about (boring) cookies, check out “How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps” (located at www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/).

Our marketers might also use Google Analytics Advertising Features or other advertising networks to provide you with interest-based advertising based on your online activity. If you geek out on this stuff too, or if you’re just endlessly curious and want to know more, head over to Google's website, and pages that describe Google Analytics, such as www.google.com/analytics/learn/privacy.html. For even more opportunities to learn about interest-based advertisements and your opt-out rights and options, visit the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative websites (www.aboutads.info and www.networkadvertising.org). If you use the newfound knowledge you gain from these fantastic resources and choose to opt out, you’ll still see ads on our Site, they just won’t be tailored to your online activity.

More Cookies, Please

Sorry, we’re still talking about non-edible cookies, and similar technology (and getting hungrier by the minute). When you’re checking out the Site from a personal computer (yeah, right) or mobile device (that’s more like it), we and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, and other tech tools to receive and store unique device identifiers (like IP address), agent info (like the browser you’re on), and other information. You can wipe the slate clean by resetting your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent (don’t worry – this won’t stop you from eating the good kind of cookies). It’s A-OK with us if you turn cookies off, but some site features or services may not function properly without them.We use tech-cookies to improve the quality of our services, including for storing user preferences, tracking user trends, and providing relevant advertising to you (see, Advertising below) and we use real-cookies to improve the quality of our mood and the fullness of our bellies.

No (information from) Kids Allowed

This Site is for grownups only! If you are under the age of 13 (lucky you!), please do not try to give us any information about yourself – go outside and play, instead! If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will delete it – no ifs, ands, or buts about it – and if you believe we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, please Contact Us or call us at 1-877-248-6922.

 3. How does Tommee Tippee use and share info?

Getting you Products, Services, and Information

Our most favorite things in the whole wide world is talking to our fans and customers about our products. You need info from us, customer service before or after buying our products, or for us to ship you replacement parts or products? No problem! Those are some of the common reasons why we will collect and use your information. We love having fun and being creative while we get to know you, so we’ll also use your info to send you promotional material, run surveys, sweepstakes, promotions, and contests, and show you some interest-based targeted advertising.

Sharing with our Helpers

There’s a reason why they say it takes a village to raise a child. We need help sometimes too – and there’s nothing wrong with that, folks. Our little helpers are separate companies that help us out when we need it. These helpers may need the personal info we collect in order to help us operate and manage our Site, respond to fabulous customers like you, and fulfill and deliver replacement products or parts that you might ask us for. Just like you, we are very particular who we let take care of our precious cargo and we use reasonable contractual and technical protections that limit our helpers’ use of your info to helping us provide our Site, products, and services.

Advertising

We just love learning about you and your interests. We show our affection by using how you browse in order to show you ads about us that are more relevant to you. We may use cookies (the tech kind, again) and other info to send relevant interest-based advertising your way. These interest-based ads are presented based on your browsing behavior in order to tailor ads to you – because you are someone special. You might catch one of these interest-based ads on our Site or other websites that we don’t own or control.

Are you a fan of the buddy system? We sure are. We belong to ad networks that may use your browsing history across participating websites to show you interest-based ads on those sites. Right now, our Site just can’t recognize if your browser sends a “do not track” signal or similar mechanism to indicate you do not wish to be tracked or receive interest-based ads.

Your Consent

You’re totally the boss of us! In addition to the other sharing we’ve been chatting about, we will share your personal info with other companies, organizations, or individuals when we have your consent to do so.

Legal Proceedings

We always try to set a good example of playing by the rules. This means, sometimes we have to share your info with third party companies, organizations, or individuals if we really, truly believe that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of that info is reasonably necessary to:

  • Meet any applicable law, regulation, subpoena, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
  • Enforce applicable Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations.
  • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.
  • Protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of Tommee Tippee, our users, customers, or the public as required or permitted by law.

Getting a New Boss

There’s a new sheriff in town! Okay, not really, but we’re a business and someone could buy us (or a big chunk of us) or our assets, such as through a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy proceeding, or otherwise. If this happens, we just might transfer or sell your personal info to the new owner and, unless permitted otherwise by applicable law, that info would still be subject to the promises we’re making in this here privacy policy.

 4.  Do I have a say in what happens to my info?

Goodness, yes. You know we love to hear from you, so if you have questions about personal info we have about you or want to give us new or updated information, you can Contact Us or call us at 1-877-248-6922. And if your inbox is filling up faster than your laundry hamper (and we bet that’s saying something), you can go ahead and opt-out of our marketing and promotional e-mails by using the opt-out or unsubscribe feature you’ll find right there in those e-mails –no hard feelings, we promise.

 5. What kind of security does Tommee Tippee have in place?

A warm blanket and a parent’s embrace are all it takes to make us feel safe and secure – if only the Internet was that simple. We use industry standard physical, technical, and administrative security measures and safeguards to protect the confidentiality and security of the personal info you send our way, but the Internet is not a 100% secure environment and we can’t guarantee, ensure, or make any promises about the security of any information you transmit to us. There is no guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. Please remember that we love to hear from you but that e-mails and other communications you send to us through our Site are not encrypted, and we strongly recommend against communicating any confidential information through this way.

 6. What if I live outside of the USA?

Benvenuto! If you are living across the pond, then in order to provide our Site, products, and services to you, we may send and store your personal information (also commonly referred to as personal data) outside of the EEA, including to the United States. That means your personal information may be transferred outside of the country where you reside or are located, including to countries that may not or do not provide the same level of protection for your personal information. We are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information when it is transferred. Where such transfers occur, we take appropriate steps to provide the same level of protection for the processing carried out in any such countries as within the EEA to the extent feasible under applicable law. By using and accessing our Site, users who reside or are located in countries outside of the United States agree and consent to the transfer to and processing of personal information on servers located outside of the country where they reside, and that the protection of such information may be different than required under the laws of their residence or location.

 7. Is this Privacy Policy going to change?

Didn’t your parents ever tell you that the only constant in life is change? We can’t know exactly when or how our Privacy Policy may change in the future, but our commitment to you is that we will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without any consent we are required to get from you.
